General Summary

What You Need to Be Successful:




Education and Experience

 Associate's degree in Biomedical   Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology or a related discipline, or   a commensurate combination of education and experience, is required.

Five years of technical experience,   performing clinical or biomedical equipment installation, testing and repair   on (all types of medical and related) instrumentation In addition, one year   lead worker or supervisory experience, overseeing the work of lower level   maintenance workers is desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the principles and practices of   electronics or biomedical engineering technology as applied to the   calibration and repair of biomedical equipment and instrumentation is   required.  Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as The   Joint Commission, National Electrical Code, and OSHA/MOSH, regarding   operation and maintenance of x-ray and other medical equipment, and the   ability to apply such standards, is required.

Ability to demonstrate use and maintenance   of medical equipment for training purposes and to perform calibration, repair   and maintenance of medical equipment using specialized test equipment is   required.
