OEM Medical Solutions, LLC is seeking to hire an experienced Biomedical Engineering Technician to work on location throughout the Baltimore/Washington D.C. areas by supporting customer biomedical equipment and/or clinical and non-clinical systems through safety inspections, scheduled preventative maintenance, calibration, unscheduled corrective maintenance and projects. BMETII level minimum experience required, BMET Certification preferred.

OEM provides highly professional, "white glove" service for healthcare customers including hospitals, surgery centers, medical/dental offices in the Mid-Atlantic area. What will my job consist of?

  • Inspecting, repairing, calibrating on-site equipment as needed.
  • Operating test equipment, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, safety analyzers, ESU analyzers, defibrillator analyzers and physiological input simulators.
  • Maintaining records and completing/submitting reports.
  • Performing de-installations of non-radiographic equipment in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, establishing networks and participating in professional societies. 

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent military training.
  • Proficiency in completing operational verification procedures, preventive maintenance and repair services on various equipment.
  • Understanding of regulatory agencies' requirements.
  • Experience with setup and application of test equipment (electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, patient simulator, etc.)
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret technical literature, schematics and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, including an understanding of computer networks and equipment interfacing.
  • Able to effectively communicate with clinical staff on topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
  • Effectively able to manage workload to complete scheduled service activity.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as well as emergency off-hours as required.
  • Must have relaible means of transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
