Security Clearance: These positions at Ft. Detrick do require U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining a security clearance. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.

Mission Overview:
PM, ICS combines the Army Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) Program Management Office with the Technology Planning Division of the USAMMA Materiel Acquisition Directorate and the imaging developmental programs of USAMMDA. As a part of the ongoing development of the Technology Assessment Requirements Analysis (TARA) Program and the expanded role of PM, ICS as the manager for all developmental and COTS field equipment and Sets, Kits, and Outfits (SKO), USAMMA has been directed to expand the scope of the TARA program to include joint Service and Combatant Command (COCOM) medical treatment facilities in a routine cyclic assessment. All medical systems that are considered capital/investment equipment will now be assessed by the TARA program whether part of a fixed facility of part of an expeditionary medical treatment facility engaged in Stability and Support Operations (SASO).

Team Objectives:
The GRSi Team will support all aspects of the ICS COCOM TARA mission. This support includes all aspects of ICS system acquisitions to include development, production, fielding, and lifecycle support of ICS product lines. The ICS mission encompasses all facets of the acquisition process to include analysis of alternatives and technology assessment; planning, programming, and execution of assigned development, procurement, and operating funds; certification, validation, verification and testing of systems; integrated logistics support planning and analysis; data collection and management; and disposal of systems.

Job Description:
The Biomedical Engineer will be part of the core field team responsible for applying engineering principles to clinical systems. The field team will be required to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations. The ideal candidate will possess a proven experience as a biomedical engineer in the clinical systems arena. Experience with monitoring devices and equipment and general OR/ER equipment highly desired.

Skills/Education: B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, 5 + years in network engineering, Military experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: CONUS and OCONUS travel required.
