Message from the President

Another year started,

Thanks to Jim Springer and Dean Morrison of Medtronic Physio-Control. Congratulations go out to the guys from Medtronic Physio-Control for making the meeting a success. Gary Simpson received the door prize. (Hmmmmmmm )
Here comes another reminder about dues. The only way you can stay an active member in the society is by paying your dues. Dues are used to keep the society running and to hold a meeting should a vendor fall through. Consider yourself reminded. Back to the meeting news.
I made an announcement at the beginning of the meeting about changes to the bylaws and an upcoming vote on those changes. Naturally, you will want to know what you are voting on. Copies of the changes to be voted on will be given out at the October meeting. Those members, who are not able to attend the meeting and have an email address, should send an email titled "Bylaw Changes" to me and I will reply with the changes. You will then have some time to review those changes and send me your vote. Those who plan on attending the November meeting should hold their vote until that time. All votes will be verified, counted, and the results will be given at the January meeting and in the February newsletter.
In order to give all voting members a chance, the vote will take by email no later than November 10, 2000, and at the November meeting. Direct any voting questions you may have to me, and I will try to respond as quickly as possible. See you at the October meeting.

St. Croix's CMMS

This month's meeting is sponsored by St. Croix. They will be providing a demonstration of their Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). If you're looking for a new system, come and see what they have to offer. Even if you're not thinking of a new system come and see what improvements they have made. With remote maintenance being the rage, it will be most interesting to find out how they solve this problem. WOSYST has been named the best CMMS for two years running by 24x7 and they also provide the best appertizers and desserts you could ask for.
Hope to see you there.
